What is Daybreak Community Program?

Daybreak Community Programs is all about supporting families with young children. We offer a wide range of programs for children birth to age six and their families. In addition to pre-natal programs for youth and newcomer families.

Daybreak Parent Child Centre implemented the Family Home Visitation Program (FHVP), revamping the former Parent Coach program at Child, Youth and Family Services, Eastern Regional Health Authority in 2005. The Family Home Visitation program was phased in between July 2005 and January 2006 and provides home visiting to families living in St. John’s, Mount Pearl and Conception Bay South communities. Funding for the program is provided by the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services.

The main floor of Daybreak Parent Child Centre is devoted mainly to Parent Programming. The parent area consists of a large comfortable living-room space, a large kitchen, child-minding space, and the clothing room. This is a warm and inviting space with couches, loveseats, and a computer work station with internet access.
